  • Hope at Hand Poetry Program

    Hope at Hand, Inc. provides poetry lessons in homeless shelters, group home settings, and Title I public schools at no cost to the recipients. Children will work through fears and feelings as they write, edit and publish their original poems. Hope at Hand, Inc.teaches children confidence and inner strength as they learn to process the difficult world in which they live. Hope at Hand, Inc. hosts monthly volunteer activities and enjoys a wonderful working relationship with area high schools, as well as the general public. Hope at Hand, Inc. provides in-house programming which increases community services.2023 Partner Organizations include:- Department of Juvenille Justice- Pretrial Detention Facility- Teen Court- Landmark Middle School- Oceanway Middle School- Andrew Robinson Elementary School- Gateway, Steps to Recovery- Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless- Hubbard House- Children's Home Society, Buckner Division- Youth Crisis Center- Jacksonville Public Library- Girls, Inc.- Girl Scouts- Police Athletic League - Sanctuary on 8th Street- Daniel Foundation - Kings Bay Submarine Base
