  • Preventive Care and Health Education

    In calendar year 2024, 345 uninsured patients were seen for curative care of medical conditions. Approximately 169 patients were first-time patients to the clinic, and the remaining patients were repeat patients and were included in preventive care programs related to hypertension, diabetes, and obesity including visiting with a certified dietitian and fitness trainer. Nearly all of these patients were given some blood screenings which were free of charge to them. The clinic was open for approximately 150 hours (with one or two physicians and other healthcare professionals and volunteers on duty at all times). Additionally, we conducted numerous preventive care seminars in order to educate the community on the dangers of obesity, hypertension, and diabetes, and how to live healthier lives.
