    Our annual Black-Eyed Pea Festival, a celebration of African & African American traditional food, music and visual art took place in the fall. Roots of Faith, Roots of Freedom is a series of public presentations demonstrating the living history and cultural retention of African Americans through spiritual expression using drum and voice. These presentations took place throughout the year at our own instigation and also by invitation of communities and organizations.
