IN FURTHERANCE OF THE MISSIONS AND VISIONS OF NCCF AND GLOBAL GENEROSITY, PROVISION TRUST ENGAGES IN TWO PRIMARY OPERATIONS. FIRST, IT IS A GRANT- MAKING ENTITY. PROVISION TRUST UTILIZES A GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS WHEREBY APPLICANTS PROVIDE CERTAIN REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR REVIEW BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE BOARD CONSIDERS EACH GRANT REQUEST AND DETERMINES, BY A MAJORITY VOTE, WHETHER OR NOT TO APPROVE A GRANT. NO GRANTS CAN BE MADE TO AN ORGANIZATION THAT DOES NOT QUALIFY AS A TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE CODE. IN ADDITION TO IT'S GRANT-MAKING OPERATIONS, PROVISION TRUST IS CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF FOUR NONPROFIT ENTITIES: (1) THE PROTON THERAPY CENTER, LLC; (2) THE EAST TENNESSEE RADIATION THERAPY SERVICES, LLC; (3) MTPC, LLC; (4) PCPT HAMLIN, LLC. EACH OF THESE FOUR ENTITIES FOCUSES ON CANCER AWARENESS, RESEARCH, AND TREATMENT, WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH THE CHARITABLE VISIONS OF THE SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS AND PROVISION TRUST. In furtherance of the missions and visions of NCCF and Global Generosity, Provision Trust engages in two primary operations. First, it is a grant-making entity. Provision Trust utilizes a grant application process whereby applicants provide certain requested information for review by the board of directors. The board considers each grant request and determines, by a majority vote, whether or not to approve a grant. Grants are only mader to organizations whose activities are consistent with the mission and values of NCCF and Global Generosity. In addition to it's grant making operations, Provision Trust is currently a member of four nonprofit entities whose focus is on cancer awareness, research and treatment which is consistent with the charitable visions of the supported organizations and Provision Trust. Provision Trust provides financial support to these organizations by extending loans for operational liquidity for quality patient care and by leasing certain medical equipment for their operations. In the last year, assets of three of these entities were acquired through Chapter 11 filings from Provision Trust. The other entities are in an active status.
