    Vital Flight, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer pilot organization involved in public benefit flying, coordinating free transportation by private aircraft (or donated commercial tickets) to distant medical facilities when commercial service is not available, impractical, or simply not affordable. Additionally, experiences are arranged for special needs children and their families as a respite to their daily struggles. In 2019, a total of 243 missions were flown, and 302 coordinated. Program services costs included those for mission operations, public education, and chapter development. Mission operational costs included 170150 of in-kind donated pilot services, flight costs, and donated commercial airline tickets.
