THE CACTIS FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO LEAD AND COORDINATE THE MC3DV (MARICOPA COUNTY COLLABORATION ON CONCUSSION FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) WITH THE MARICOPA COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FAMILY VIOLENCE BUREAU, THE MESA AND TEMPE, ARIZONA POLICE DEPARTMENTS, HONOR HEALTH'S SCOTTSDALE FAMILY ADVOCACY CENTER'S FORENSIC LABORATORY, THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA COLLEGE OF MEDICINE - PHOENIX (UACOM-P), AND THE BARROW NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE AT PHOENIX CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL (BNI@PCH). THE CACTIS FOUNDATION HAS BEGUN TO INVESTIGATE AND ADDRESS THE FREQUENCY AND IMPACT OF TBI IN THE UNDERREPRESENTED, DIVERSE COHORT OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE VICTIMS (WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND MEN), AND PARTICIPATED IN EDUCATIONAL AND BASELINE CONCUSSION TESTING OF YOUTH ATHLETIC ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSING ON CONCUSSIONS. The CACTIS Foundation continues to lead and coordinate the MC3DV (Maricopa County Collaboration on Concussion from Domestic Violence) with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office Family Violence Bureau, the Mesa and Tempe, Arizona Police Departments, the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix (UACOM-P), and the Phoenix VA Healthcare System Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program. The CACTIS Foundation continues to investigate and address the frequency and impact of TBI in the underrepresented, diverse cohort of intimate partner violence victims (women, men, and children), participate in educational programs and baseline concussion testing of youth athlete organizations focusing on concussions. CACTIS initiated and continues to emphasize the analysis of local, regional, and national data with the goal of creating a concussion registry and developing a "Best Practices" concussion assessment and treatment program in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Health Services.
