The "Healthy Roots" program cultivates 2.5 acres of organically grown fruits/vegetables, 2 acres of citrus, and a new high tunnel at Spaces of Opportunity. Expenses are largely human resource in the farming for production of about 10,000 pounds of produce and 60,000 pounds of citrus. Spaces of Opportunity operations is a 19 acre urban farm, The Orchard Community Learning Center is one of four 501(c)3 organizations managing the project which includes an incubator farm, community gardens, a farmers market on site, and a washing station/cold storage for farmer use. The Orchard is the fiscal agent for the farmers market operation and the "Fresh Connections" community food relief project and also the aggregator and distributor for these functions.
