IN THE SPRING OF 2011, A SMALL GROUP OF ALUMNI, PARENTS, AND STAFF MET TO DISCUSS WAYS TO DEVELOP A SOURCE OF STABLE AND SUSTAINABLE INCOME FOR EAST HIGH SCHOOL. THOSE DISCUSSIONS IDENTIFIED THE NEED TO ESTABLISH A DULUTH EAST HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION TO FOCUS ON GATHERING FUNDS TO ENHANCE A WORLD CLASS EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY STUDENT. THESE FUNDS WOULD NOT BE TIED TO DISTRICT BUDGETS, ANY INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM, OR ANY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION.
