Continued to preserve historical artifacts, to collect and preserve manuscripts, traditions, relics, and mementos of bygone days; to preserve and restore buildings connected with the erly history of our country; to educate our felow citizens and ourselves in our country's history. NSCDA also sponsors, in alternating years, one student to go to a congressional workshop in Washington DC, and one teacher to go to a teachers workshop in Williamsburg, VA. The teacher scholarship appplication is due Feb 1 each year; the student schoarship for the Congressional Seminar in DC is due Dec 1 each year.In addition to the time contributed by the officers, the other members contribute well over 40 hours a week.
