Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection
GREATER CINCINNATI COLLEGIATE CONNECTION (GC3) ADVOCATES FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND USES THE COLLECTIVE STRENGTH OF ITS INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS TO POSITIVELY INFLUENCE THE VALUE OF HIGHER LEARNING IN THE GREATER CINCINNATI REGION. IT PROMOTES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATIVE LEARNING TO ADVANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ALL MEMBERS. GC3 TAPS THE COLLECTIVE POWER OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN GREATER CINCINNATI TO STRENGTHEN EVERY ASPECT OF OUR REGIONAL ECONOMY, CULTURE AND QUALITY OF LIFE AND MAKE A LASTING DIFFERENCE IN EVERY LIFE WE TOUCH.THROUGHOUT FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022, GC3 CONNECTED HUNDREDS OF HIGHER EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS IN COLLABORATIVE CONVERSATIONS DEDICATED TO NETWORKING, BEST PRACTICE SHARING AND PROBLEM SOLVING TO ADDRESS ADMINISTRATIVE, MANAGERIAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES LINGERING FROM THE PANDEMIC. WHILE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC CONTINUED TO LIMIT GC3'S ABILITY TO HOST IN-PERSON EVENTS, IT HOSTED VIRTUAL EVENTS, PRIMARILY FOCUSSING ON MENTAL HEALTH (272 FACULTY AND STAFF SERVED). IT ALSO HOSTED VIRTUAL EVENTS RELATED TO INFUSING DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION INTO TEACHING AND PEDAGOGY (97 FACULTY SERVED).A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME WAS DEDICATED TO UPDATING GC3'S STRATEGIC PLAN TO ACCOUNT FOR COVID-19'S IMPACT ON HIGHER EDUCATION AND ENSURE GC3 HAS THE WIDEST IMPACT AS POSSIBLE. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, JANET PICCIRILLO, CONVENED A GROUP OF INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH AND BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS TO DEVELOP REPORTS RELATED TO THE KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ILLUSTRATING THE IMPACT OF HIGHER EDUCATION. THE GROUP DEVELOPED REPORTS ALLOWING USERS TO COMPARE THE TOTAL COST OF ATTENDANCE FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. THE GROUP ALSO DEVELOPED REPORTS SHOWING THE NUMBER OF GRADUATES GC3 COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES PRODUCED IN PROGRAMS ASSOCIATED WITH INDUSTRIES IDENTIFIED BY THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND HAVING THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH . JANET PICCIRILLO ALSO CONVENED A GROUP OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION PROFESSIONALS WHO DEVELOPED A TOOLKIT TO ASSIST COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AND ORGANIZATIONS TO DEVELOP A DEI STRATEGY TO INFUSE INTO THEIR CULTURE AND OPERATIONS. WITH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, GC3 EMPHASIZED ASSISTING CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS TO CONNECT WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES, TO RETAIN TALENT THROUGH VIRTUAL INTERNSHIPS, AND HELP CONNECT STUDENTS TO OPPORTUNITIES.
