Deaf Services and Interpreting
Deaf Services Center offers interpreting of American Sign Language, foreign languages, and speech-to-text services. Interpreters are available for hourly, ongoing, and daily appointments. Emergency interpreters are on-call 24 hours a day. Interpreters are used primarily in educational, legal, and medical environments. Speech-to-text services are preformed by trained captionists who provide real-time access to communication with the opportunity to have a transcript available afterward for review and/or study. Deaf Services Center provides a full range of employment support services in partnership with opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and through its CARF accreditation. DSC offers support to persons with disabilities to decide on a career, knowledge of how to become employed and train on a new job.
