National Trauma Research Action Plan
National Trauma Research Action Plan (NTRAP) - More than 400 trauma care investigators and stakeholders participating in the NTRAP project are performing a gap analysis to identify research priorities across the continuum of care, defining optimal metrics to assess long-term functional outcomes following hospital discharge, and identifying regulatory barriers and best practices for clinical trauma research. To date the project has resulted in 15 publications and 2 additional manuscripts are in process. An investigator toolkit addressing regulatory challenges to conducting trauma research is published on the Nattrauma.org website, and a number of investigators are requesting data from the project in order to conduct secondary analyses.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$195.2KPCORI VTE Education Program

PROPOLIS - The PROpOLIS (Plasma Resuscitation withOut Lung Injury) study examines the use of INTERCEPT-treated pathogen-reduced plasma (IPRP) in the resuscitation of burned patients. IPRP is an FDA-approved blood component that has undergone treatment to reduce the risk of transfusion-transmitted infection. As the coordinating center for the multi-institutional study, CNTR is responsible for end-to-end study management across five clinical sites and two laboratories involving all policy and procedure, training, and human subject protection activities. This three-year study, funded by the Defense Medical Research and Development Program, is now enrolling patients.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$521.2K
