Grief Support Services
Grief support program including support groups with 19 meetings a month over ZOOM and quarterly in person. The meetings reach roughly 500 people a month, predominantly in San Diego. The online platform of ZOOM allows survivors outside of the region and even the US to access services for their loss. The first Native American support group Is now in place providing services to tribal members in San Diego County which has the largest number of Native American tribes in the nation. The warm-line and email services allow survivors resources during daylight hours. Suicide Awareness and Prevention program included an active speaker's bureau with over 70 presentations which include suicide prevention training, community response outreach events, first responder wellness forums and military/law enforcement prevention detection seminars. Partnered with Coronado Safe Harbor to provide resources and age specific training for educators as well as Directing Change to provide outlets for youth to discuss suicide and ways to prevent it.
