Scholarships for Economically Disadvantaged Students
The Americas Foundation supported 220 economically disadvantaged students with partial or full scholarships averaging $540 each to study basic education and arts education at the La Esperanza schools. The full academic program included classes of instrumental and choral music ballet plastic arts computer science sports English and ecology.

More Art = Less Violence Program
The Americas Foundation funded and coordinated the "More Art = Less Violence free arts instrumental music guitar jazz dance youth orchestra and volleyball programs for teens ages 12 to 17 years old. The Foundation purchased or acquired additional instruments for the youth orchestra promoted and provided instruction choreography costumes scenery equipment and classrooms for the Saturday and after school program that served 205 adolescents living in an underserved area. A performance concert involving all the More Art students was also along with with participation community arts festivals.

Community Mosaics and Garden Projects
