Youth Homelessness Support Services
In the United States, over 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness every year. At least 50% of homeless youth are under the age of 18 and are unsheltered. Over fifty thousand youth sleep on the streets for six months or more each year, and more than half a million experience episodes of homelessness for a week or longer. To assist homeless and at-risk youth, StandUp for Kids provides services through our four core pillars: Outreach, Housing Support, Food Access, and Mentoring. These services provide them with comfort items (food, clothing, hygiene products, etc.); vital information regarding available resources to meet their needs; housing; advocacy, other resources to assist in alleviating the problem of youth homelessness and preparing them for self-sufficiency. During 2024, StandUp for Kids nationwide provided over 41,000 points of service to youth, distributed 69,464 meals, and supported 8,200 nights of shelter and emergency housing. The national average graduation rate for youth experiencing homelessness is 68%. However, youth participating in our school mentoring programs had a 100% graduation rate in 2024.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.7M
