Economic Development and Career Awareness
During 2023 San Diego North Economic Development Council (SDNEDC) directly outreached and worked with 62 existing companies and fielded requests from 31 companies from outside the region. The council held 6 separate business education and networking events attended by more than 1,100 North county leaders. The organization also carried out several earned and social media marketing campaigns, resulting in more than 180,000 impressions and touch points with audiences interested in San Diego North County news. The Council also continued to support SOCAL" - Student opportunities for career awareness and learning. SOCAL is a collaborative program between education and industry created by Tri-City Medical Center, the San Diego North Economic Development Council and Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, Greater Escondido, San Marcos and Encinitas Chambers of Commerce.
