Transportation: EV Incentive ProgramsIn a push for greater electric vehicle adoption, New Jersey in June 2020 became the latest state to engage CSE to assist in developing and administering its consumer electric vehicle incentive program, Charge Up New Jersey. The program is funded with $30 million annually from the Plug-In Electric Vehicle Incentive Fund. The states objective is to have 330,000 registered light-duty electric vehicles in the state by 2025, supporting the goal of putting New Jersey on a path to a 100% clean energy by 2050.The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality announced in February 2020 the selection of CSE to administer electric vehicle rebates for state residents as part of the Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program. This program was designed by the Oregon Legislature to encourage higher adoption of EVs, reducing air pollution and advancing progress toward the states greenhouse gas reduction goals. It is funded with $12 million per year generated from a tax on car dealers.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$167.6MProgram 2 [2020]
