    Shelter Operations Provide general medical services, vaccinations, food and shelter for all animals. Provide veterinary services, as needed, for sick animals. 227 dogs and 454 cats were adopted at the shelter. This was from 239 total dogs received with 5 transferred to other agencies, 2 returned to owners, 5 euthanized, and none died in care. For cats, 505 were received, 6 transferred, 4 returned to owners, 21 died in care and 20 were euthanized due to medical issues.

  • Program 2 [2020]

    Cruelty cases investigated involved an assortment of domestic and farm animals. Consulted/worked with local law enforcement agencies to bring closure to cases. 171 cases were investigated and 162 cases were closed there were 87 re-checks 43 education, 90 unfounded 7 resulted in pressing charges. In 110 cases, owners surrendered animals and 12 cases were referred to other agencies. Direct home visits are implemented as response to complaint calls. Additionally, education is provided to the public about proper animal care.

  • Program 3 [2020]

    The SNIP Program provides assistance to local animal welfare groups, governmental agencies and pet owners. Service assistance was provided to over 168 animals for 2020.
