Shelter Operations Provide general medical services, vaccinations, food and shelter for all animals. Provide veterinary services, as needed, for sick animals. 227 dogs and 454 cats were adopted at the shelter. This was from 239 total dogs received with 5 transferred to other agencies, 2 returned to owners, 5 euthanized, and none died in care. Cruelty cases investigated involved an assortment of domestic and farm animals. Consulted/worked with local law enforcement agencies to bring closure to cases. 171 cases were investigated and 162 cases were closed there were 87 re-checks 43 education, 90 unfounded 7 resulted in pressing charges. In 110 cases, owners surrendered animals and 12 cases were referred to other agencies. Direct home visits are implemented as response to complaint calls.
