Neighborhood Collaboration for Competitive Employment Status NECCES . Through this program, the OHCDC trains job seekers from underrepresented communities in basic digital skills. Freedom School & Youth Support- Through this program, the OHCDC provides disadvantaged children with literacy and enrichment activities using the Childrens Defense Fund Freedom School model. Participants usually receive books to build a home library, participated in field trips and received healthy snacks. In addition to summer Freedom School, the CDC also usually supports youth through a Robotics program. Community Health Promotion - In collaboration with University Hospitals Health System, the CDC provides a key location for delivery of health services at the Otis Moss, Jr. University Hospitals Medical Center. This comprehensive health clinic combines pastoral care, spiritual intervention, wellness and education to deliver quality, outpatient care to residents of Fairfax and other surrounding communities. In 2020, the CDC also participated in activities to raise awareness about the U.S. Census which impacts health and other services available to the communities served by the CDC.
