Project Red Cord Outreach
Project Red Cord Outreach, Community Awareness, Public Education and Advocacy: RJEC conducts its outreach programs in several neighborhoods, known for high levels of prostitution, poverty, and drug use. At these events, residents receive free services and resources, personal care items and hot meals. Restorative Services and Support to Human Trafficking Survivors: RJEC staff, outside specialists, and volunteers provide an extensive and varied list of programs and services to human trafficking survivors and those vulnerable for being trafficked. These programs include, but are not limited to, training in life skills and employment skills, support groups, mentoring and counseling. Also, RJEC provides numerous therapeutic and rehabilitative opportunties such as art therapy, equine therapy, journaling and education on health and wellness. The Plant Club has facilitated interaction with the healing elements of nature and to promote the beauty and joy of nurturing plant life. Medical Clinic: The medical clinic at RJEC offers general assessments, health and wellness information and referrals. In addition to appointments onsite, the medical clinic has a mobile unit to provide services at two outreach locations that are covered by the grant that funds the clinic.
