Mission Statement

Our membership within Local Union 696 is part of the IBEW AFL-CIO Labor organization, including all officers responsible for full representation of the membership in its entirely within L.U. 696. The objects of this Local Union shall be to promote, by all proper means the material and intellectual welfare of its members and to promote a fraternal and friendly feeling among the electrical craft and the Ohio Power Company system. This is done through collective bargaining to secure better working conditions, wages and other similar benefits, including but not limited to lockouts, death, sickness & accidents.
