Gift Technical Assistance Program
Gift Technical Assistance Program - provide technical assistance, training, materials and resources to the more than 90 community foundations and affiliate funds participating in the gift (giving Indiana funds for tomorrow) initiative. In 2022, there were approximately 430 participants at 16 webinars/trainings. There were 89 attendees at 2 "Boot camps" - basic training for community foundation and board and staff members and 302 technical assistance visits/consultations. Member Services - Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) encourages an organized and knowledgeable philanthropy sector that is acknowledged for its impact on key issues affecting Indiana. During 2022, IPA held multiple networking/peer gatherings across the state, produced 52 e-newsletters for members, tracked state and national legislation affecting the sector, facilitated meetings for members with state and congressional elected officials, supported a website and provided technical assistance and web-based access to vetted technical and professional resources. IPA achieved a 94% member retention during 2022.Grantmaker Education and Resources - Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) makes available educational programs designed to fulfill the professional development needs of members by providing quality and diverse educational opportunities at an affordable price, to as many members of the Alliance as possible. During 2022, IPA provided 143 grantmaker education programs, Issue Collaborative meetings, and Peer Community convenings. There were 3,458 attendees at IPA programs and 395 unique organizations represented. IPA's website includes an online searchable knowledgebase of resources across a wide range of topics for foundations and grantmaking organizations. The community foundation internships program provides Indiana community foundations, participating in the GIFT program, grant dollars to hire college students attending an accredited college or university in Indiana. The purpose of the program is to provide operational support for the community foundations while providing real-life work experiences for the interns. The interns' experiences enriches their educational and personal development in addition to increasing their awareness of the important roles community foundation and philanthropy play in a community's quality of life.
