Center for Independent Living are community-based, cross disability, non-profit organizations that are designed and operated by individuals with disabilities. CILS are unique in that they operate according to a strict philosophy of consumer control, wherein people with all types of disabilities directly govern and staff the organization. The Centers provide peer support, information and referral, individual and systems advocacy, independent living skills training and transition. Future Choices has served 286 consumers across 11 counties and accomplished 1294 information and referrals during the reporting year. Future Choices attended 60 community events during the year.
