OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES - The Success by 6 (SB6) Early Learning Initiative funds two programs: SB6 preschool scholarships and Batavias Dolly Parton Imagination Library, both of which are focused on establishing a love of learning and a readiness for education in our preschool population. During the 23-24 FY, 12 families were supported by preschool scholarships and 6,066 books were provided to children between birth and 5 years of age at no cost to the family. The Community Assistance Fund allows BUW to provide emergency assistance to Batavians in financial distress. During the 23-24 FY, 63 residents were provided with financial assistance in order to stay in their homes, keep their power on, and fill transportation needs.
