Visitor's Center Renovation Project
The Blackstone River Watershed Council received a grant from the state of RI to provide project management services for the renovation of the Visitor's Center building in Cumberland on RI Route 295, located along the Blackstone River. The BRWC received a grant through the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program to promote a stronger community voice for installing fish ladders along the two southernmost dams on the Blackstone River. The grant also provided funds for performing outreach with local Indigenous Tribes to elevate their voices in the fish ladder efforts.
