Colina Foundation Grant Guidelines Started in 1992, the Colina Foundation has as it's mission statement "helping children". Programs focusing on children 0-5 and their families are the primary focus of this foundation, although programs for children up to age 18 are considered. The geographic preference is the Southern Wayne County (Michigan) area, with additional support in communities where trustees live. Typical grant amounts range from $500 - $10,000. We often offer matching grants, thereby encouraging groups to broaden their scope of funding. Because needs are great and funds are always limited, it is the intent of the founders to offer support for specific projects that focus on our target population, and hopefully, can affect societal change. Types of funding we do not supply include: buildings, construction, capital expenditures, sports activity booster funds, or on-going operational support. We do not offer college scholarships or individual aid. Proposals are accepted at any
