Nursing Professional Development
The Wisconsin League for Nursing (WLN) is committed to advancing the nursing profession by empowering current and future nurses through targeted outreach, scholarships, and professional development. Our membership generally consists of Wisconsin nurses in academic and healthcare settings, with growing memberships from across the United States. We have international outreach due to the virtual online offerings for professional development. We host two annual statewide conferences featuring nationally recognized speakers and topics relevant to academic and healthcare staff development. These events include opportunities for nurses to present their research and quality improvement projects through mentored poster presentations, both in person and online. The inclusion of hybrid programming plus the national outreach for well-known speakers has aided the WLN in providing different perspectives so nurses can function optimally in a diverse and multicultural healthcare environment. WLN also offers continuing education through webinars and provides free NCLEX-RN prep sessions twice a year to support nursing students as they transition into practice. The WLN allocates revenues from memberships, programs, and grants to advance the organization?s goals, with a focus on minimizing overhead costs. With the support of grants and awarded scholarships, the WLN nurtures the next generation of nurse leaders, ensuring they have access to the resources, education, and mentorship needed to thrive and strengthen Wisconsin?s healthcare system.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$21.4KNursing Scholarships And Grants
