DEADLINES FLUCTUATE AS THE BOARD MEETS AT VARIOUS TIMES DURING THE YEAR. GRANT REQUESTS ARE DUE TYPICALLY ONE MONTH BEFORE THE MEETING. A GRANT REQUEST FORM AND DETAILS OF THE REQUIREMENTS ARE AVAILABLE BY REQUEST THROUGH THE FOUNDATION'S CONSULTANT MARY HARP-JIRSCHELE. AN APPLYING ORGANIZATION MUST BE RECOGNIZED AS A TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AND CLASSIFIED AS A PUBLIC CHARITY. A COPY OF THE ORGANIZATION'S IRS DETERMINATION LETTER CONFIRMING SECTION 501(C)(3) STATUS, MUST ACCOMPANY EVERY GRANT APPLICATION. OTHER INFORMATION REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED BY AN ORGANIZATION SEEKING A GRANT FROM THE FOUNDATION INCLUDES A LIST OF THE ORGANIZATION'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS/TRUSTEES, A LISTING OF KEY STAFF MEMBERS, THE BUDGET OF THE ORGANIZATION, AND THE PROPOSED BUDGET OF THE PROGRAM BEING CONSIDERED. THE ORGANIZATION MUST DISCLOSE ITS ENDOWMENT/RESERVES AND WHETHER OR NOT AN ANNUAL DISTRIBUTION IS TAKEN FROM THE ENDOWMENT/RESERVES.
