Program 1 [2020]
PPNA is a 40-year-old community centered organization that uses a variety of events, programs, and advocacy related initiatives to advance its mission. During 2020, with a range of concurrent challenges affecting the community from the COVID-19 pandemic and the murder of George Floyd, the association was able to maintain key coalition partnerships with six distinct groups, host 8 key community events, and administer a Renter Support Fund that distributed $49,500 in direct aid to 55 individuals. Additionally, the association was able to successfully transition it's 30-year-old art fair to an online platform because of the pandemic.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$238KPowderhorn Art Fair and Community Engagement
The end of 2024 marked 44 years of PPNA striving to support the community in a myriad of ways to animate its mission. A central way that PPNA fosters economic development is through its annual Powderhorn Art Fair. In 2024, this arts-centered celebration highlighted over two hundered artists who collectively earned an estimated $330,000 in revenue by participating in this event. One way that PPNA embraces a diversity of voices is through our various communication channels. This includes maintaining four distinct websites that collectively attracted just over 42,000 unique visitors in 2024. In support of facilitating community engagement, PPNA brought together an estimated 25,000 folks by hosting four annual events. Our work to foster community development is furthered by establishing and maintaining partnerships with a few hundred community partners and several hundred volunteers. This equated to an estimated 4,250 hours of engagement with partners and volunteers in 2024.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$392.1K
