Nurse Training Program
Trilochan Netralaya TN is a unit of Vision India Foundation and its mission is to restore vision for preventable blindness in the remotest and poorest areas of Odisha. TN also runs a Nurse Training program where they recruit college drop out girls from poor families and train them to be eye care nurses so that they can earn a livelihood. The girls are provided lodging and meals during their training period. Most of the students are employed by TN after they complete the training. The training period is two years for 10 girl students. IASF believes in women empowerment through education. Agragamee Promote all aspects of tribal development throughout India with focus on the state of Odisha through an integrated approach to help tribal communities mobilize for self-sustaining development initiatives. IASF donated $10,000 to Agragamee to be used for resources needed for running Agragamee learning centers in Kashipur Koraput for the school year 2023-2024. They work in education through village night schools in 7 districts has helped more than 15000 children from the least literate tribal districts develop fluent reading and writing skills and pursue further education to access government jobs and professional careers. Since 2014 SIGMA ACADEMY has empowered under-privileged school children to have a successful career in science and engineering with residential tutoring and coaching at no cost. Students come from rural areas and are provided with lodging and meals. Successful students get admitted to engineering colleges or science programs.
