Nascent is implementing its five-year (2018-2023) McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition program in Cameroon. The objective of the program is to improv the literacy of school-age children and promote the use of good health and nutrition practice. 1. A 2020 International Food Relief Partnership (IFRP) grant to implement an 18 months program to benefit 3,800 children in Bomi County in Liberia. The objective of the project was to reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among young children. Nascent distributed 34.56 metric tons of a shelf-stable prepackaged food commodity. The total grant amount was $315,218 of which $175,000 was cash and commodities value as $140,218. A 2019 International Food Relief Partnership (IFRP) grant to implement an 18 months program to benefit 2,700 children in Bomi County of Liberia. The objective of the project was to increase caregivers' knowledge and use of good nutrition and hygiene practices, Increase caregivers gardening and livelihood skills. Nascent distributed 54 metric tons of a shelf-stable prepackaged food commodity. The total grant amount was $330,145 of which $163,438 was cash and commodities value as $166,706.64. During the year 2020 the direct cost of the program was $215,768 including commodities the allocated indirect cost amount was $65,205. The objective of the project was to increase the access of 1900 people living with HIV/AIDs and increase their knowledge and use of good health practices in their households. Nascent distributed 75.04 MT of shelf stable prepackaged food. The total grant amount was $372,300 of which $149,959 was cash and the commodity value of the grant was $222,341. Nascent received and distributed $222,118 worth of commodities. During the year 2020 the direct cost of the program was $46,981 including the commodities. The objective of the project was to reduce household hunger amount 6,500 IDPs, also to increase knowledge of good nutrition and hygiene practices amount 1,500 adults IDPS. Nascent distributed 75.04 metric tons of a shelf-stable prepackaged food. The total grant was $402,898 of which $175,000 was cash and commodities value as $227,899.
