Our Gallery on Wheels program coordinates with the individual classroom teachers and principals in the Minot Public School system to schedule a Taube Museum of Art instructor to bring an art project to each of the classrooms in the community free of charge in the fall and the spring, reaching 4000 students twice. We visit about the museum, our role in the community, and present the featured art project. Our presenters teach the students about the new materials, techniques, and information about artists in our society. A related hands on art lesson follows each presentation. Each year the project changes to feature a different famous artist. The purpose is to develop an awareness and appreciation for the artists in our society and expose children to various art materials and techniques. We held 267 sessions in 2024.
