During FY 2024 SEACA: Led 30 educational and leadership skills building workshops for local youth residents community organizations and government agency staff on issues of affordable housing environmental justice. racial justice policy advocacy and community outreach. We worked in coalition with stakeholders in Little Tokyo and Skid Row to advocate for more affordable housing small business protections and other community benefits to support the needs of low-income residents and stakeholders in downtown Los Angeles. SEACAs work was profiled in the PBS documentary series,"Earth Focus". We distributed thousands of meals to low-income families and seniors in Chinatown; we helped rehouse local Chinctown residents who lost their homes due to fire; and we engaged in outreach and resource referral to local small businesses and street vendors.
