BAA: EVAC AND FIVESENDOVASCULAR VARIABLE AORTIC CONTROL SYSTEM (EVAC): IMPROVED ENDOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY IS NEEDED TO OPTIMIZE OUTCOMES OF WOUNDED WARFIGHTERS WITH NONCOMPRESSIBLE TORSO HEMORRHAGE. THIS PROJECT WILL DEVELOP A CLINICAL-GRADE EVAC SYSTEM TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES IN THESE PATIENTS. A NEXT-GENERATION "INTELLIGENT" ENDOVASCULAR DEVICE TO IMPROVE HEMORRHAGE CONTROL IN WOUNDED WARFIGHTERS WILL BE DEVELOPED. FIELD INTRAVENOUS EXPEDITIONARY SYSTEM (FIVES): THE USAF REQUIRES AN FDA APPROVED FIVES FOR AIR FORCE MEDIAL SERVICE USED IN DEPLOYED SCENARIOS, INCLUDING WARTIME OPERATIONS, DETERRENCE, HUMANITARIAN, AND CONTINGENCY OPERATIONS. VENTRIGHT: QUALITY VENTILATION IS THE DELIVERY OF THE APPROPRIATE RATE, AMOUNT, AND TIMING OF BREATHS, TO AVOID ADDITIONAL INJURY. YET POINT OF INJURY CARE CREATES MULTIPLE COMPETING CARE RESPONSIBILITIES AND HIGH-QUALITY, CONSISTENT MANUAL VENTILATION IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.
