Artisan Support and Fair Trade
A very important entrepreneurial resource is providing a retail outlet not only for the artisans we train but also for artisans in 20+ countries who work with organizations with "boots on the ground. These organizations help artisans develop products often utilizing traditional crafts from their respective country that have global appeal. These organizations follow fair trade practices by paying fair wages providing supportive work environments and thereby helping artisans mostly women overcome the effects of poverty and human trafficking.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$98.1KUnlocking Your Design Business Training
Our other important entrepreneurial resource is CWOW's six-module basic business training program called Unlocking Your Design. In 2022 training was conducted in three countries. After completing the product development module Syrian refugees in Lebanon developed two products to be sold locally. Several Ecuadoran business owners took the training in order to help women being released from prison develop a financial livelihood. In Zambia several women in two villages were trained who then trained women in other villages following the program's Train the Trainer model. Domestically in the US several participants in different locations were trained.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$10.2K
