Families and Futures Coalition
The Small Things, Inc. supported over 1,300 children and 600 adults during the fiscal year 2022-2023. We cared for 50 children through full-time residential care at Happy Family Children's Village, reunified 6 children with their families, provided intensive support at home for 120 children, provided preschool and daycare for 63 children, and provided tutoring and adult education for over 200 community members. In addition, 838 children in 482 families were supported via microfinance access. The Small Things founded The Families and Futures Coalition of Tanzania to transform the alternative care system. Through FFCT, we provided intensive support and supervision to five local orphanages to aid their transition to more ethical models of care.
