FITE Fire Service Education Program
FITE contracted with 4 Skill Centers in Western Washington in 2021. (New Market-Thurston, Lewis, and Mason Counties--WANIC-NE King County, South Snohomish County---Seattle-All of Seattle Public Schools High Schools--NCTA-Skagit, Whatcom, and North Snohomish County) COVID has brought many new challenges including additional costs for PPE, cleaning supplies, and change of drill ground availability. Fortunately, we have been able to spend a large portion of the year doing in-person instruction. We have seen exponential growth in our Seattle program and are excited about the future of this emerging program.FITE was able to offer 3 summer classes to introduce younger students to the fire service and the skills center model. All FITE instructors are full-time firefighters or are actively involved in the fire service.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2021Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$561.2KFITE Summer School Sessions
