Food was provided through four monthly distributions to an average of 488 households (550 for the last six months of 2022) 1,249 individuals each month. We received 613,101 pounds in donated food items. SENIOR BAGS - Bags of personal care products such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, detergent, etc. for individuals 60 years of age or older. Expenses were approximately $5 per household per month. Total expenses were paid by the Senior Citizens Tax Board Grant, which is a local county grant including grant of $18,000. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE - Provided emergency food boxes for individuals in need when Food for Morgan County is not open. Foods are all shelf stable in case the household has no freezer/refrigerator available. Each box is intended for families of 2 or 3 individuals, for 2 or 3 days. These boxes are available through city and county law enforcement and social service agencies.
