Irish American Cultural Education
The St. Patrick Foundations purpose is the implementation, research, promotion, encouragement and advancement of 1. The education of the general public about the culture, history and contributions of the New Orleans Irish American Immigrant. Programs that present documentaries, Cultural Activities, and Museum and Landmark tours that showcase and explain the influence and contributions made by New Orleanians of Irish Descent throughout history and present-day will be organized and offered to Schools and Community Groups. 2. In the hope of eliminating prejudice and discrimination, the lessening of racial tensions, and the better understanding of diversity, presentations of the Irish American Immigrants faith, neighborhoods, cultural contributions, hardships, and ingenuity will be made available to the public and school programs. 3. New academic research, compilation, and presentations of Irish American Immigrants and their descendants in New Orleans. 4. Programs and fund-raising activities for the research and restoration of Irish landmarks in New Orleans, including but not limited to Cemetery tombs and Monuments. 5.
