    Free English lessons: Daily English classes to approximately 2300 children in 5 rural Cambodian villages (Rattinak, Samrang, Banan, KP and Jeepan). In addition, English training was provided to all 32 local teaching staff. Approximately 700 unpaid international volunteers taught throughout the year over video conference; addtionally, more than 100 taught in person during the June - August.

  • Program 2 [2018]

    Food and medical aid: 124 families (approximately 450 persons) were provided rice and canned fish continuously throughout the year. In addition, 40 persons were given medical aid. TASSEL teachers took them to the appropriate medical centers in Cambodia and Thailand and paid for their hospital bills as well as travel and meal expenses. All persons who received food aid and medical aid were screened carefully through multiple visits to their homes; only those TASSEL deemded were unable to survive without aid were given the aid.

  • Program 3 [2018]

    Children and family sponsorships: 35 of the poorest families (132 persons in total) were provided monthly cash support by specific sponsors. Cash was hand-delivered monthly and pictures of the delivery were provided to each sponsoring donor. Some sponsors, after visiting their families in person, also provided cash to local carpenters and food vendors so that shelter (for those with no houses) can be built and extra food be provided to designated families.
