Go Fund Student Debt Repayment Program
The Go Fund is our flagship student debt repayment program to mobilize missionary families to places unreached by the gospel. The program utilizes three phases to eliminate student loan debt for our missionary partners: 1) Qualification - A candidate applies online and begins the process with our program director, including phone interviews, a credit check, and reference checks. 2) Selection - The candidate submits a ministry overview video and is interviewed by a volunteer selection committee before a final decision is made. 3) Mobilization - The candidate submits power of attorney forms, signs general agreement, and schedules commissioning meeting with their church before they head to the field. Once the approved missionary partner is working among the unreached on the mission field, Airo begins to make monthly payments toward their student loans with a ten year repayment target. Payments continue as long as the missionary remains in their assignment. For 2022, Airo was paying monthly student debt payments for 59 missionary partners on assignment. In addition, 40 missionary partners were approved and are awaiting assignment. The cumulative debt payment obiligation for all approved missionary partners over the next 10 years is estimated to be $5,626,672.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$468.9KThe Missions Course
