Youth Development and Enrichment
Beacon Place engaged over 200 families and their students across 51 events, delivering 12,665 total programming hours on site. More than 2,100 hours were dedicated to special events. Hundreds of families were reached through community gatherings like the Great Full Market and Fall Launch series. Thousands of meals were served through initiatives including the Summer Lunch Bunch Program, Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways, and Summer Food Distribution in partnership with Northern Illinois Food Bank. Robust seasonal programming was offered, such as Spring Break Session activities, Fall, Winter and Summer Education Enrichment and Launch, which provided academic and enrichment activities for youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. Additionally, Moms programming was offered for all three sessions as well as Cooking with Ernie. Overall, youth development and enrichment spanned both school-year and summer sessions, totaling nearly 13,000 hours of impact.
