    Pet Food Assistance Program- This program allows us to offer pet food assistance to local shelters rescues who reach out to us with a need. In addition we assist the community through our outreach to two local food pantries in Ledyard and Preston CT Senior Housing in Ledyard CT and families in need registered with Social Services in Ledyard and Gales Ferry CT. We have also been available to local families who have demonstrated a need during the Covid-19 pandemic by offering pet food to families with pets. Our outreach services assist 75-100 persons per month.

  • Program 2 [2020]

    Our Fixed 4 Life program allows us to spay neuter and vaccinate all pets that enter the Ledyard Animal Control. We also assist local residents in the Ledyard Gales Ferry and Preston area who need assistance in covering the costs to spay neuter and vaccinate their companion pets. Our goal for this program is of course to cut down on the number of unwanted litters born each year in our state. We are able to spay neuter and vaccinate approximately 50-75 pets annually.

  • Program 3 [2020]

    Our Medical Assistance Program is to assist our local shelter the Ledyard Animal Control with any medical needs that the shelter might have with pets brought into the shelter. This can vary from anything from prescriptions to surgeries. The goal is to insure that all the pets are healthy so they can be adopted into their forever homes.
