Community Engagement Programs
Community Engagement: The Conservancy facilitates a variety of programs to engage Austinites, including regular volunteer workdays, educational trail tours, and stakeholder meetings to involve the community in the process of creating improvement goals for Shoal Creek and the Shoal Creek Trail. The organization led 41 volunteer events with 470 volunteers. Volunteer workdays resulted in nearly 14,000 pounds of trash removed from Shoal Creek, 2,000 native seed balls distributed along the creek's bank and 460 native plants planted. We organized 10, free Shoal Creek Trail Tours for the public with 113 attendees. We also hosted the inaugural Shoal Creek Shopping Cart Corral and removed 48 shopping carts from the creek.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2022 – Sep 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$467.1KShoal Creek Trail Plan
