Presently, Hungry Hearts International provides an opportunity for refugee women living in the Middle East, who have suffered the loss of spouses, homes, and financial support to receive financial assistance through knitting (blankets, hats, sweaters, & gloves). This repetitive action is therapautic in dealing with their losses and the support gives the women pride and dignity being able to help their families. The items the women produce are distributed to other families in need.
