    Neighbors Helping Neighbors. In 2023, East Rock Creek Village (ERCV) volunteers provided members with 527 services. Of these, 66% were transportation, 22% were grocery deliveries, and the remaining 12% were friendly calls and visits, and providing help with technology and household tasks.

  • Care Management for Elderly Members

    Care Management. In 2023, ERCV monitored the well-being of 38 frail elderly members with the assistance of a social worker on contract who offered advice and helped connect those who were eligible with local and federal programs that could address their needs. In addition, ERCV bought food and medicine for members in need.

  • Community Engagement and Wellness Activities

    Prevent Social Isolation and Build Community. In 2023, ERCV offered 311 social, educational, and health and wellness activities, including weekly walks, online chair yoga and Otago Fall Prevention exercise classes, as well as three 12-week Stronger Memory brain exercise programs. ERCV hosted monthly online Open Houses as well as monthly lunch and happy hour gatherings, holiday and volunteer celebrations, periodic online bingo and docent-led art tours, and published a newsletter and a mid-month update to inform the community of upcoming social events provided by ERCV and others.
