Biodiversity Laboratory Capacity Building
Laboratory Installation: Our senior scientists plan and coordinate field laboratory design staffing and the provision of instruments and supplies in order to build capacity for international partners in regions of high biodiversity. These in situ labs feature genetic tools and other modern technology for wildlife population surveillance pathogen screening and toxicological investigations.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2021 – Sep 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$261.5KField Research Training Initiatives
Field Reserach Training Program: Our training programs take two forms. First we provide short intensive field courses of approximately 10-14 days in duration. Participants learn a variety of field biology research and laboratory methodologies on topics ranging from tropical biology and primatology to genomics and biodiversity monitoring. Second we organize long-term volunteer research assistantship opportunities. Participants in these programs commit 5-8 weeks to assisting senior scientists and veterinarians at one of our field research locations most frequently in the Peruvian Amazon. During this time they gain experience with data and sample collection and analysis relating to a diverse array of flora and fauna.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2021 – Sep 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$52.7KWildlife Research Consulting Services
