US Department of Transportation - West Central Small Business Transportation Resource Center. The HOYA Foundation manages this federal grant from the US Department of Transportation to assist small disadvantaged businesses in building their capacity to bid on and perform on transportation projects and professional service procurements. This grant covers a 5 state area - Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska and South Dakota. Transportation and Construction Girl is committed to expanding career opportunities for young women, supporting equity for young women, enhancing young women's self-esteem and helping to meet the workforce shortage in construction. Currently, only 8 of the construction workforce is women. That means huge opportunity for young women. Transportation and Construction Girl Day starts with fun and cool exhibits from 8:30am - 11:30am. The HOYA Foundation presents 4 scholarships and honors the young girls who graduated from Career Days for Girls.
