shades of pink foundation California provides short term financial assistance to women in California in active breast cancer treatment who are struggling to meet basic living expenses. many women undergoing breast cancer treatment face complete loss or severely reduced income during treatment and our foundation serves to help these women through monetary grants to pay for food, gas rent, electricity and other basic living necessities. we have found that the temporary financial assistance shades of pink foundation California is able to provide to our grant recipients alleviates some of the financial stresses that surrounds breast cancer and allows our grant recipients to focus on healing. during the fiscal year ended march 31, 2019, shades of pink foundation California awarded 30 individual grants totaling $46,648. the average age of recipients was 50 years old. of women receiving grants, 11 reported having minor children at home and 13 were divorced or single and 1 widow. the grants covered a range of basic living expenses including rent, mortgage payments, HMO dues, gas, car payments, insurance and utilities. the recipients lived throughout San Diego county: Oceanside, Fallbrook, Alpine, Jamul, Spring Valley, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, El Cajon and San Diego.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesApr 1, 2020 – Mar 31, 2021Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$38.8KFinancial Assistance for Breast Cancer Patients
Shades of Pink Foundation California provides short term financial assistance to women in California who are undergoing active breast cancer treatment and are struggling to meet basic living expenses. Many women undergoing breast cancer treatment face complete loss or severely reduced income during treatment. Our foundation aims to help these women by providing gift cards for gas, food and big box stores for other basic living necessities. We have found that the temporary financial assistance provided by Shades of Pink Foundation California alleviates some of the financial stresses that surround breast cancer and allows our grant recipients to focus on healing.During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, Shades of Pink Foundation California awarded 135 individual grants totaling $59,200. The average age of recipients was 50, and 33% of the women receiving grants reported having minor children at home.
