    First Program Service Accomplishments Description (Development of Executive Functioning Skills) Autistic adults are more likely to be successful in life (with success defined as not just getting a job, but keeping a job) if their executive functioning skills are honed. Services provided: Retail experience, banking/finance classes, meditation, mindfulness, dance, gardening, stop motion animation, art classes, yoga and Zumba. Approximately 400 people benefitted from these services in 2023.

  • Self Care Services for Autistic Individuals

    Second Program Service Accomplishments Description (Self Care) From a physical health perspective, self-care has been clinically proven to reduce heart disease, stroke and cancer. Improving self-care can be especially challenging for autistic people, but it is critically important. Services provided: acupuncture, chiropractic work, massage, meditation, naturopathic services, nurse practitioner check-ins, pampering/facials, pet therapy, physical therapy classes, dry needling, psychotherapy, reflexology, reiki/energy work, supportive counseling and LGBTQ+ counseling. Approximately 500 people benefitted from these services in 2023.

  • Social Skills Development for Autistic Individuals

    Third Program Service Accomplishments Description (Socialization Skills) Autistic people sometimes need to learn how to engage friends or may be overwhelmed by the idea of new experiences. They may have outbursts and throw tantrums or express themselves inappropriately in social contexts, essentially due to their difficulty to either understand a social situation or make themselves understood by others. Services provided include various social groups with regular meet-ups and outings, educational navigation, relationship/dating classes, sex education classes, transitions navigation, bird watching/nature experiences, pet therapy and a music listening group. Approximately 150 people benefitted from these services in 2023.
